This is a temporary to permanent hire Service Contract Act position with an hourly pay rate of $30.70 that includes a Health and Welfare Benefit of $4.22 an hour.
Service  Contract Act, or SCA, position pay rates are determined by the U.S. Department of Labor, Wage and Hour Division.

Upon completion of six (6) months of employment, the selected candidate can expect an annual salary as a permanent full-time employee with the federal contractor.

Period of Performance: 
June 1, 2021 through May 31, 2022 with potential for annual extensions

 Senior Paralegal
  •  Requires Paralegal Certificate, Juris Doctorate degree, or currently attending an ABA-accredited law school, having completed at least one (1) year of study.Only the Contracting Officer can approve a waiver of the education requirements.
  •  At least two (2) years of litigation paralegal experience required; trial experience very helpful
  • At least one (1) year of experience in automated litigation support
  • Requires sound working knowledge of federal and state court system, legal research procedures, and legal research resources
  • Requires excellent written and oral communication skills and thorough knowledge of legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw
  • Must have hands-on familiarity with a variety of computer applications, including word processing, databases (such as document review and file management systems), spreadsheets, imaging, and hardware systems
  • Requires hands-on familiarity with ESI tools and knowledge of eDiscovery procedures and resources
  • Ability to consistently deliver highest quality work under extreme pressure will be very important
 Preferred Qualifications:
  •  Thorough knowledge of Relativity and Case Map is highly preferred. 
 Senior Paralegal
While working with Antitrust Division attorneys and paralegals, contract senior paralegals shall perform any or all of the following tasks:
  •  Review case files to become familiar with the matters to which they are assigned
  • Perform factual research, Internet-based, Document- and work product-based, Other
  • relevant sources
  • Document receipt and logging, Organize, label, index, create and maintain logs
  • Document review - Electronic and hard copy, Review for evidence, key words, witness
  • information, and other matter related facts
  • Work with translators to identify relevant documents for translation
o Maintain and organize translated documents
  • Database entry and searches
o Objectively and subjectively code relevant documents in Relativity
o Run Relativity searches and print reports
  • Assist in the development of search term criteria and lists
  • Work with legal staff to add key documents and update facts, etc. in Case Map
  • databases
  • Prepare charts, tables, logs, and lists
  • Evidence summaries (e.g., charts of telephone calls between competitors, spreadsheets
  • of attendees at meetings, tables of rigged projects, timelines of events)
o Assist in preparation of witness and exhibit lists and cross-reference lists
o Document logs
  • Prepare witness folders and notebooks
o Run Relativity searches for relevant documents and print results
o Compile and organize documents into tabbed binders
  • Prepare routine correspondence and routine factual memorandum
  • Prepare reports and summaries of factual research (oral and written)
  • Prepare summaries of testimony and depositions
  • Proofread and cite-check factual and legal memorandum and pleadings
  • Schedule interviews and meetings
  • Attend meetings with staff
  • Planning and strategy meetings (in observational/lay role or to assist in presentation of
  • visual information)
  • Attend court sessions, depositions, and witness interviews
  • In observational role or to assist with electronic equipment and document management
