Candidates with experience in the law enforcement/ legal environment would be beneficial to the position.  The position involves using Relativity eDiscovery software platform for document review and litigation support.

Travel may be required for this position. 


Period of Performance: 
 
June 1, 2021 through May 31, 2022 with potential for annual extensions

Qualifications/ Preferred Qualifications:
  • Training in theory and practice of translation
  • Professional Certification
  • Three (3) years as professional translator
Translator, Japanese to English
 
Responsibilities/Duties:
  • Uses Relativity to perform database review of documents identified as “foreign language” by staff
  • Provides summary translations of selected documents from Japanese to English
  • Provides full translations of relevant or hot documents from Japanese to English
  • Searches for native language documents in Relativity, following staff’s guidance and requests; identifies and translates relevant documents for further review
  • Supports one or more cases, as required
  • Travel as required
