This is a temporary to permanent hire Service Contract Act position with an hourly pay rate of $23.80 that includes a Health and Welfare Benefit of $4.22 an hour.
Service  Contract Act, or SCA, position pay rates are determined by the U.S. Department of Labor, Wage and Hour Division.

Upon completion of six (6) months of employment, the selected candidate can expect an annual salary as a permanent full-time employee with the federal contractor.

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • At least two (2) years of word processing experience, including one (1)  year in the specific office automation environment required (e.g., JCON 2a, MS Word Office 12/ Microsoft Office 2003)
  • Must be able to type at a minimum rate of 65 wpm with an accuracy rate of 95%
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required
  • Ability to produce highest quality work under extreme pressure very important

Primary Responsibilities
  • Performs moderately complex litigation support tasks, including, for example, detailed review and analysis of case materials in a broad range of subject matters, such as financial records, health care materials, and other litigation files; detailed indexing of case files; drafting procedures for accomplishing litigation support assignments; document acquisition related tasks; and conducting database searches
  • Proofreads and edits deliverable products
  • Answers phones for Senior Executive Officers, arranges travel using a proprietary database for Senior Trial Attorneys; writes memos, letters, creates PowerPoint presentations, generates complex spreadsheets, downloads pdfs and saves to network, creates folder on network and unzips files
