This is a temporary to permanent hire Service Contract Act position with an hourly pay rate of $ 19.45 that includes a Health and Welfare Benefit of $4.41 an hour.
Service Contract Act, or SCA, position pay rates are determined by the U.S. Department of Labor, Wage and Hour Division.

Upon completion of six (6) months of employment, the selected candidate can expect SCA pay rate as a permanent full-time employee with the federal contractor.
Period of Performance:
Current contract period: Date of Hire through May 31, 2024

Work Hours of Operation: , Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., 40 hours per week, two (2) 15-minute breaks and 30-minute lunch, except for federal holidays, unless otherwise stated
Work operations 70% in office setting and 30% in warehouse setting

Document Management Technician Qualifications :
Ability to perform detailed work consistently, accurately, and under pressure extremely important
Must be able to read and follow instructions
Must be able to understand task, task objectives, and the context of the task in the litigation support effort as a whole
Must take the initiative to ask questions when necessary to complete task correctly (e.g. where instructions are not explicit or appear to be contrary to the task objective)
Must have typing/keyboarding skills and good communication skills
Must be knowledgeable user of the government's office and network environment, including but not limited to, word processing, database, spreadsheet, imaging, and telecommunications systems
Under the direction of Task Supervisor or Document Management Analyst performs the following tasks while complying with established procedures:
Filing, retrieving, and copying case file materials
Creating witness binders
Preparing deposition and trial exhibits
Entering data on-line to case files and other databases
Proofreading, editing, correcting Optical Character Recognition (OCR) converted text files
Retrieving and blowing back/ printing, digital documents/ files and digital image media
Tabbing, numbering, labeling, assembling documents; filling out log sheets and reporting on task progress
Performing quality control on the work of peers in all of these areas
Prepares documents for image scanning; performs other document collection related activities, including document screening, and labeling of files to be scanned
Performs simple database searches
Produces a variety of written documents utilizing varied and advanced word processing software functions, working from handwritten draft, edited copy, or electronic files created by another staff member
Responsible for maintaining the filing system for the Support Services Unit
This includes matching paperwork to the appropriate location and general maintenance of the filing system
Familiarity with Support Services functions which include receipt, storage and inventory sufficient to perform recurring requirements during day-to-day operations
Find and retrieve information from files in response to requests from authorized users
Gather materials to be filed from employees within the outside of the unit
Prepares USAO files to be archived
Makes recurring and special messenger trips as necessary, answers telephone, refers callers to staff members or takes messages as appropriate
Prepares mass mailings, ensuring labels (addresses) are correct.
Sorts and distributes incoming/outgoing mail
Ability to review and analyze data and information from multiple sources and perform data entry duties
Operates copying machines
Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. and operate warehouse equipment including but not limited to hand truck, flatbed, pallet jack, etc. (but not forklift or any other driven warehouse equipment)
