Project Supervisor

Duties:

 
The Project Supervisor works under the direction of the Project Manager.  For very large cases, may be directly responsible for all work in a major task area.  For example, on a case involving document discovery of millions of pages, a Project Supervisor may be responsible for all document discovery/document collection activities for the case. For a case involving an out of town trial, a Project Supervisor may be the individual in charge of the out of town trial support center. Alternatively, may assist several Project Managers on a multitude of smaller cases simultaneously. For example, the Project Supervisor may be responsible for coordinating delivery of document coding in one case, while simultaneously overseeing production of witness binders in another.
 
The Employee will perform the following duties but not limited to:
 
  • May provide direct or indirect supervision of a variety of Contractor staff, including clerical staff and first line supervisors. 
  • May require frequent contact with Government COR, Case Managers, trial attorneys, client agency staff, etc., as well as with other Contractor components, in addition to internal Leidos colleagues.
  • Perform other related tasks, as needed.
  • Interact effectively with other supervisors as well as managers, attorneys, examiners, investigators, accountants, paralegals and other staff members across the country.
  • Coordinate, track and QC data deliveries for loading into Relativity.
  • QC data loaded into Relativity and coordinate return of original medial to client.
  • Assist with other Relativity database management needs such as user access, security group requests, search term reports, and creation of database reports.
  • Coordinate document reviewers on large scale review projects.
  • Coordinate and oversee staff completion of activity reports, self-evaluations, training and other routine business and reporting requirements.
  • Assist with and coordinate hiring functions including opening requisitions, reviewing candidates, onboarding and other tasks.
 
Required Qualifications:
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
  • Undergraduate degree; substantial significant experience may in some cases may be substituted for degree requirement.
  • At least THREE (3) years of progressively more responsible experience on major litigation support projects.
  • At least ONE (1) year of supervisory experience, including proven capabilities and communication skills to successfully interact with clients and attorneys.
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee and coordinate numerous complex and time-critical litigation support activities simultaneously, including technical/data processing support activities. 
  • Requires in-depth knowledge of litigation support.
  • Must be able to anticipate litigation support needs and develop and execute detailed plans for addressing needs. 
  • Must have at least one (1) year of Relativity experience.
  • Some walking, standing, bending and carrying of small office items.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be able to work overtime on an “as needed” basis, often with minimal advance notice.
 
Desired Qualifications:
  • Paralegal certificate or law degree, strongly preferred.
  • Litigation support project management experience, preferred.
  • Proficient with text editing software (such as TextPad), strongly preferred.
  • Proficient with JobTraq, preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software programs (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint), strongly preferred.
  • Proficient with analytics tools (i.e. NexLP), strongly preferred.
  • Proficient with redacting tools and software (i.e. Blackout), helpful.
  • Familiar with the structure of litigation support deliverables including image files, text files (OCR), and load files (such as DAT and DII files), strongly preferred.
  • Active Security Clearance, helpful.
