Senior Paralegal Specialist (10 individuals) –

Expected assignments and specialized duties are as follows.

  • General Crimes Section (1 individual)  –
  • Processes, tags, indexes, and organizes voluminous discovery, including documents, electronic communications, and audio and video recordings, in multi-defendant violent and organized crime cases.
  • Produces high quality work using discovery databases, such as IPRO Eclipse and Relativity.
 
  • Major Frauds Section (1 individual) –
  • Processes, tags, indexes, and organizes voluminous discovery, including documents, electronic communications, and audio and video recordings, in multi-defendant violent and organized crime cases.
  • Produces high quality work using discovery databases, such as IPRO Eclipse and Relativity.
 
  • OCDETF Section (1 individual) –
  • Produces high quality work using Relativity and Microsoft Excel software to review and tag large volumes of documents.
  • Ensures an efficient and timely output of subpoenas.
  • Works with financial investigation and/or large complex investigations. 
  • Public Corruption Section  (1 individual) –
  • Processes, tags, indexes, and organizes voluminous discovery, including documents, electronic communications, and audio and video recordings, in multi-defendant violent and organized crime cases.
  • Produces high quality working using discovery databases, such as IPRO Eclipse and Relativity.  
  • Violent and Organized Crimes Section (1 individual) –
  • Processes, tags, indexes, and organizes voluminous discovery, including documents, electronic communications, and audio and video recordings, in multi-defendant violent and organized crime cases.
  • Produces high quality work using discovery databases, such as IPRO Eclipse and Relativity.
 
  • General Civil (1 individual) –
  • Performs legal research and discovery, including in particular organizing large volumes of discovery in general civil, civil rights, and debt collection cases.
  • Drafts complaints answers, motions, proposed orders, stipulations, status reports, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and correspondence; summarizing deposition transcripts; managing and organizing cases, including case files and imaging systems particularly related to government loan recovery actions.
  • Fields calls from the public, responding and processing citizen inquiries; interviewing citizen claimants, verifying and updating citizen claimants’ data via electronic resources particularly related to civil rights issues.
  • Attends town hall meetings regarding civil rights issues.
  • Assists in drafting templates for civil rights investigations and debt collection matters.
  • Performs legal research and assists in drafting complaints and other legal documents.  
  • Civil Fraud Section (1 individual) –
  • Uses Relativity software to review and tag large volumes of documents relating to healthcare fraud investigations.
  • Uses Bankscan software to review and analyze large volumes of bank records.
  • Uses Palantir software to review and analyze large volumes of healthcare data.
 
  • Civil Evidence Coordinator (1 individual) –
  • Processes, tags, images, indexes, and organizes voluminous discovery, including documents, electronic communications, and audio and video recordings, in multi-defendant cases.
  • Produces high quality work involving complex fact patterns and charges needed to include locating specific key documents to support civil claims and defenses.
  • Produces high quality work using Adobe, Microsoft Access, Google Translate, IPRO Eclipse, Relativity and Excel.
  • Tags documents in IPRO Eclipse and Relativity
  • Creates and uses Excel spreadsheets.
  • Produces high quality products using PACER/ECF.
  • Works on civil investigations and cases. 
  • Civil Division  (1 individual) –
  • Processes, tags, indexes, and organizes voluminous discovery, including documents, electronic communications, and audio and video recordings, in multi-defendant and multi-plaintiff cases.
  • Produces high quality work using IPRO Eclipse, Relativity, and Excel, and Quickbooks.
  • Tags documents in IPRO Eclipse and Relativity’
  • Produces high quality work creating and using Excel spreadsheets.
  • Reviews Quickbooks files.
  • Produces high quality products using PACER/ECF,
  • Works on civil investigations and other fraud cases, including health care.
 
  • Financial Litigation Unit (FLU)(1 individual) –
  • Processes, tags, images, indexes, and organizes voluminous discovery, including documents, electronic communications, and audio and video recordings, in multi-defendant cases.
  • Produces high quality work involving complex fact patterns and charges needed to locate specific key documents to support charging documents.
  • Produces high quality work using Adobe, Microsoft Access, Google Translate, IPRO Eclipse, Relativity, and Excel, including tagging documents in IPRO Eclipse and Relativity
  • Produces high quality work creating and using Excel spreadsheets.
  • Produces high quality work using PACER/ECF.
  • Works on criminal investigations of health care and financial fraud crimes.
