Purchasing Agent

Location:  Hollywood, FL 33020

C&C International Computers and Consultants, Inc. (C&C International) has an opening for an experienced Technical Sales/ Purchasing Agent who will be responsible for, but not limited to, identifying suppliers, researching goods and services, creating quotes and invoices, processing purchase orders, and verifying delivered items.

Work Schedule/ Hours:  Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Hourly Pay Rate:  $21.00

Qualifications and Experience
Position Requirements: 
  • 2-3 years customer service/ technology sales experience
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt accordingly to tasks
  • Ability to process orders
  • Personable telephone/ communication skills
  • Purchasing contract management experience
  • Outstanding people skills; strong in-person, written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational and analytic skills
  • Self-motivated with a strong ability to support and motivate others
  • Ability to work well under pressure and proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Adept at managing multiple tasks simultaneously, and excellent self-management skills
  • Experience using Quick Books an advantage, for generating quotes, purchase/sales orders, invoices
  • Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and internet proficiency
  • Experience using Microsoft Outlook a plus
  • Technology Sales background a plus

Job Responsibilities: 
  • Researching and comparing suppliers, goods and services
  • Selecting the most suitable suppliers in terms of reliability, product quality, and cost-efficiency
  • Requesting and preparing cost estimates upon request in a timely manner
  • Preparing and processing invoices
  • Scheduling and verifying purchase deliveries; resolves shipments in error with suppliers
  • Building and maintaining positive, long-term supplier relations
  • Prepares purchase orders by verifying specifications and price; obtaining recommendations from suppliers for substitute items; obtaining approval from requisitioning department
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
